Ladies And Gentlemen: Say Hello To The HTC M7 Smartphone
While HTC certainly isn’t happy about this tidbit of news, we know that you all will be: the mysteriousHTC M7 smartphone that we have been harking about is finally out in full view and ready for us to drool over– despite us seeing another possible rendering recently. As you can see, the render above highlights the device’s sleek and jet black design… which is something that we were already expecting before. In addition, the display and Sense (5.0) UI seems to match up not only in theoverall design and layout, but the iconography as well. The great thing is about this design is that while HTC is expected to launch the smartphone in various markets around the world, there should be minimal cosmetic differences of the smartphones— save for items like carrier tramp stampsbranding.
All in all if this rendering is indeed legit and the real deal, it appears that HTC will more than likely have yet another hit on its hands. We just hope that the world is ready for another hit when the time comes.Last time we heard about the M7, it was expected to have a 5" display, a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, LTE, and a 13MP camera. This time around the details are getting a bit more specific. As we expected, the M7 is rumored to have a 1080p display, but it is now rumored to be 4.7", which would put the PPI at 468. The display is said to be a SoLux display and should offer a number of visual improvements over the previous generation Super LCD 2, such as better viewing angles, outdoor visibility, and color accuracy.
On the inside, the Qualcomm CPU is said to be 1.7GHz quad-core, with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The camera is still expected at 13MP, but this time at f/2.0 rather than the f/2.2 that was on the One X. The camera is also packing a so-called "Cinesensor", which claims to both increase image quality and improve features such as super slow-mo and video HDR. The front-facing camera is now rumored at 2MP.
As was expected, it the M7 should be wearing a fresh coat of HTC Sense 5.0, but no word on what enhancements have been made there. It is also rumored to be launched on all four major US carriers, which is something HTC hasn't done in quite a while. But, we should find out at this year's Mobile World Congress, which is slated for February.
